Organ Music for Sale

The York Chapter, AGO owns a sizeable repository of used organ (concert and liturgical) music which is for sale. Much of this music has been received from former members of the York Chapter who have either retired or died. As recently as last week, I received 24 plastic containers filled with a sizeable organ library from a dear friend and colleague who grew up in York County, PA. The Chapter has been offering this music for sale at ridiculously low prices
anywhere from $1 to $5. Some scores are brand new, while others are slightly used through well-used. All of the proceeds from the sale of the repository benefit the Chapters' Theodore Herzel Memorial organ scholarship which provides financial assistance for beginning and young organists to study the pipe organ.

The concert organ music selection contains much of the standard repertoire from Alain, Bach, Buxtehude, Couperin, Dupré, Duruflé, Franck, Guilmant, Handel, Ives, Karg-Elert, Langlais, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Reger, Sowerby, Tournemire, Vierne and Widor plus much more. The liturgical music is quite extensive containing much liturgical organ repertoire from easy to advanced. There are many pieces and volumes of funeral and wedding music as well. There is also piano music for sale. I write to invite members of the Baltimore AGO Chapter who may be interested in traveling to York to shop our music repository. Currently, the repository is housed in my garage at my home. I have about 40 containers and bins filled with sheet music and text books. I have a pipe organ in my house should anyone wish to play through music!

I live 10 miles from the Mason Dixon line immediately off Interstate 83 Loganville, PA about a 40 minute ride from center city Baltimore. Anyone interested in seeing the repository can contact me.

Best wishes,
