Enriching lives through organ and choral music

Organists Needed!

We are excited to introduce “January Jump Start,” a Members’ Recital, this year. We will meet at Saint Bartholomew’s Episcopal Church (4711 Edmonson Avenue, 21229) on Sunday 9 January at 3:30p to hear some of our friends and colleagues perform seasonal music in a relaxing afternoon of music making.

Do you have something that you’ve played this year that you’d like to share? Perhaps it’s a piece that you’d like to introduce to a wider audience. Or, perhaps, it’s a piece that you learned for this year and would like to perform again before putting it away! We are asking BAGO members to sign up to play a favorite holiday piece of two to help us make this a memorable event. Please email Joe Martenczuk at jmmles1@temple.edu if you are interested in playing. Looking forward to this special event.

The three-manual, 46-rank instrument at Saint Bartholomew’s was originally installed in 1955 as the IV/31 Casavant Frères, Op. 2267 at Saints-Martyrs-Canadiens R.C. Church, Victoriaville, Québec. In 2006, the instrument was moved by Baltimore AGO chapter member David M. Storey to St. Bartholomew's and renovated by him with tonal changes.
